Michigan: OC Pepper spray can be no stronger then a 2% concentrate (Different companies can sell different concentrations.) CS is the only Tear Gas accepted and can be no larger then 35 grams per can. No combination spray allowed. Canine and Bear Pepper Spray is legal in this state.
Wisconsin: Pepper only. No Tear gas. OC can be no stronger then a 10% solution. Can must have a total weight of not less than 15 grams (approximately a half ounce) nor more than 60 grams (which is approximately two ounces). Can must look like an aersol can and not disguised as another product (no lipstick, pen, pager, hotwalker or stunning ring pepper spray to WI). Must have safety feature. Canine and Bear Pepper Spray is legal in this state.

Bad configuration of pepper sprayJul 03, 2011

I purchased this product because I wanted a fogger type spray rather than a jet stream release so accuracy wouldn't be an issue. I also wanted one where I could put it in my shirt pocket or pants and walk around knowing it was there at the ready should I need it. The size was fine. The problem was the trigger mechanism. It was pretty loose going from locked to armed. I tried walking around with it in my pants and noticed when I took it out it was in the fire mode after about the third time. I then put in in my shirt pocket and a few times later the trigger had slid almost to the firing position. The last thing I need is an accidental fire in my pants or shirt, especially around people. Bad enough just for me. After some experimentation I found a small piece of scotch tape kept it in the locked position and my thumb pressure could break the seal and have it ready to fire if I had to use it. It should be more difficult to go from one mode to another. Had no quibble with the price. Just the engineering of the device. I'll find another fogger on the market offering a better setup and keep this one tape free in a permanent location at the ready around the house in case I ever need something other than my guns to thwart an incident.
