Shemagh Not SquareNov 03, 2009
By J. Michael Barry
"Viper"
The item rec'd was not square. Supposedly 44"x44", it was closer to 44"x41". This sounds like a small issue, but when most uses of the shemagh start with a symmetrical diagonal fold (corner to corner) it will never happen with a piece of cloth that is not square. This is the only shemagh that I have that is not square.

It's ok, but there are betterSep 04, 2010
By Alan Cribb First off, the picture of the guy wearing it where it's dark brown. The Shemagh does not come in that color. It comes in sand(light tan)/black, and od green/black.
Honestly, you're looking at spending around $20 for the Blackhawk version. It's not really worth it at all. It's no different from any of the others out there. You're better off buying one for $10 including shipping off ebay from another brand. All it is, is a big piece of cloth.
Make sure you hand wash it before you ever use it. You will lose a lot of dye the first time you wash it. I had a big bucket full of water, and it was pitch black in a matter of minutes from washing it. If you just go out and wear it, and it gets wet. Chances are the dye will get all on your clothes. Once it's washed it doesnt loose much color at all.
Overall it's ok, but you're paying $10 extra just to get it in blackhawk's packaging.

Ho do you rate fabric?Jan 30, 2009
By S1gnal Look folks its basically a piece of fabric..lol. it does whatever I intend for it to do. Some days I use it to keep the sand or bugs outta my face at the range, other days I use it on my rifle as a cushion for the cheek piece when I'm prone, or I throw it over my head when I'm shooting prone to block out glare, or other nuisances. It;s big enough to be multi-purpose for whatever you can think of..and when I washed it, it's still in one piece. What more can you ask for?
I don't know what really makes it tactical, though..lol
MFMar 25, 2012
By MF I bought this shemagh to protect my face, neck and shoulders from the sun. It is well made and I highly recommend it. For added safety, I just tugged on the knots to make sure they were snug so they do not come undone. I doubt they will come undone if you do not tighten the knots yourself, but just for an added safety measure. Thanks BLACKHAWK! for making a great product!
Great Shemaugh but....Feb 28, 2012

"Do not adjust your set, reality is at fault"
This is a very nice Shemaugh, BlackHawk! definately knows what its doing but the picture is deceptive. Maybe I don't know my military colors but this isn't Sand/Black, the product I got was Coyote Tan/Black. Its "whatever," I didn't own a coyote tan shemaugh and now I do. Yay. This just adds up as one of those dangers of internet shopping, you don't really see what you're buying till it shows up on your door step.
4 stars cause its truly a decent product. One star off cause I think the color is wrong (though it may just be a case of "operator error."
