4Great little cameraMay 02, 2009
By Bobby Dunn "The Cyclops"
Very nice little camera. The quality is plenty good enough to see what is behind you (although there is a little noise, I imagine more from the long cable). I drilled a hole in my plastic bumper and mounted it and found it to be a little troublesome. The collars are designed to rotate with a cam action to allow it to be aimed, but it is pretty awkward to adjust and level. Other than that I am very satisfied and feel that this is maybe the best safety feature for a car, especially if you have kids. Be sure and order you a standard video cable the length you need as it only comes with one long enough to go inside the car.

Had this back up camera installed on my 2010 Hyundai Tucson works great able to see everything and then some.full color.Night time is a little grainy but still able to see well.Highly recommend this camera.rather than pay 2500.00 at dealer for added package deal.I also bought a GPS.Dont pay the dealer big money for xtras you can add your self a lot cheaper.

1I'd pass on this oneMay 24, 2011

The camera seems well built but the video image quality was really poor on the camera I received. I bought this to install as a back-up camera for my car. The colors were way off. It appeared that I had no blue in the video feed. The low light performance was unusable. Perhaps I just happened to get a bad device but the adage that "you get what you pay for" really comes to mind with this camera vs others.

2BUYER BEWARE..MIRROR IMAGEJul 20, 2011
By James P. Ltaestro "Pat Maestro"
I was not aware that this keyhole camera is a reverse mirror image.
In other words, everything you see is backwards.
Instead of normall left to right, you see everything right to left.
If you hold a mirror in front of your monitor and then look back at the mirror you will see everything normal behind you.
Isn't it easier to just look behind you thru the rear window and save the cost of this camera plus installation?
I guess they made it that way because it's designed primarily for mounting on the rear of your automobile and your going backwards, right?
So keep in mind that when you think you're suppose to turn to the right to avoid the car behind you, you're actually going the opposite direction of what you see on the camera image.
Don't worry, your should still avoid hitting the car behind you even though you might get confused in the process.
I think I'm confused already writing this review.
Why doesn't the description specifically say: MIRROR IMAGE for buyers?
I called tech support to ask if there's any adjustment to make the camera show normally and he said NO.
I asked if they make a similar keyhole camera that does work normally and he said yes however it cost twice the money, around $100.00. (He wasn't exactly sure how much it cost but he knows it's about $50.00 more then this camera)
I asked him why would a normal camera cost twice as much when this special designed camera showing a mirror image is for a very unique application?
He didn't know why.
So, I guess if I want to pay $48.00 instead of $96.00 I will have to learn how to look at life backwards.
Thank You BOYO corporation for this learning experience.
