Protects my baby on the mean streets of New York!Nov 29, 2011
By L. Dixon Highly Recommended!!
After buying a new Ford Edge, I was truly worried about it being scratched and banged up within the first week on the streets of New York. Since parallel parking is a given here and as no one seems to have a problem with "tapping" other cars (read: slamming into them and not blinking an eye) I had good cause to worry. The Bumper Badger has been perfect for protecting my new ride these past few weeks, though. I love it! Every time I walk out of the house, I half expect to see some major damage to the rear end, but so far the Bumper Badger has done its job perfectly. The straps have velcro on them and when I'm ready to drive, I just pop the back (trunk), throw the BB into the car and go. It's become such a part of my routine that I never forget it *and* I don't have to ruin the look of my new car by driving around with it on my bumper--some of those other bumper protectors attach semi-permanently to the license plate and look awful, and some NY drivers just seem too lazy to throw it in and out of the trunk and just choose to look ridiculous. Their choice, but the Bumper Badger lets you have the flexibility to choose when to use it.
...I just wish there was a good looking version for the front, too.
Red Straps too wide apart for most SedansSep 18, 2011
By J. Butler I bought the Bumper Badger at my local auto parts store as it seemed to be the only option available. The owner of the business told me that Bumper Bully is only available online. The quality seems good, but there is one problem with this product. The red straps that hold it to the car are separated too far apart from one another. When you attach it to the car, the truck pushes the two red straps closer together so that the Bumper Badger becomes not flat and clumped together. I have a mid-size sedan and this was a problem. While driving around, I noticed this problem with a few cars.
Satisfactory. What I expected.Aug 10, 2011
By Gatsby I considered both the Bumper Badger and competitor Bumper Bully and chose the Badger because it was slightly cheaper. Having seen them both on other cars, they look almost identical in construction. The material is like a car floormat, essentially a thin layer of rubber. I assume it will provide some minimal protection and is better than nothing. The pictures make it appear very solid and inflexible and flat against the bumper but in reality, it is very flexible and floppy and folds over very easily and if you don't position it just right, it will sag in the center. It's essentially like strapping a rubber floormat to your bumper. Mine arrived in the middle of hot, humid summer and the reflector stickers had already peeled off by themselves in the heat inside the box, leaving only a very sticky residue on the rubber, which I had to clean off.

Why all the logos?Feb 11, 2010
By R. Kempa It's a great product, well made and easy to flop out from the trunk on to the bumper, but why did the manufacturer feel they needed to put the product name 3 times plus 2 reflectors on an area that's about three-and-a-half square feet? It seems to shout to motorist parking behind your car "Go ahead and run into my car, I have a Bumper Badger!" It'll protect your bumper from scratches, but that's about it.
When Amazon starts selling autos, I can comment on the stupid painted plastic bumper car manufactures use. Maybe someday.
