This alarm is 100% worthless due to the low volume of the alarm when it is activated. Don't bother or waste your money!

I was really hoping to be all set in the security dept, but not so. I can't deactivate the alarm/chime without setting it off. It's like you have to sneak up on the thing and turn it off without moving it, which would be a serious accomplishment given the tricky switch on the side. Maybe it would work after mounting it on a wall, but I'm dubious. It's just such a glaring oversight that I'm sure I'm missing some crucial bit of insight.
