First off, let me say I am very skeptical about buying anything on Amazon that hasn't been reviewed by at least 2 or 3 people, but after searching around online for a while, I was only able to find one other stand to hold my Sais, so I didn't really have much of a choice. This product is cheap and flimsy. Not sure what type of wood it is, but it's so soft I can press my fingernail into it. It shipped fast and there was no damage, but it was rather difficult to put it together because I was afraid I would break it if I pressed too hard. My biggest complaint is the fact that it wasn't properly constructed. The base of this product consists of a flat base and 2 stands (or legs) that attach to the left and right of the base by inserting the base ends into slots on the legs. The right leg fit just fine, but the left side of the base was too big to fit into the slot of the other leg. I had to sand it down to make it fit. Also, one reviewer said this was easily mounted to a wall. That is false, unless you plan to attach your own brackets to mount it as it doesn't come with any. Overall, it looks fine sitting on a shelf holding my Sais, but I am pretty dissatisfied with the quality of this item. I paid about $20 after shipping costs, but this is worth nowhere near that. I could have built a better quality stand for about $5 if I had the tools to do it.

Easily fixed to walls or units and looks greta I love this thing no more hiding the sai's in the cupboard or under the bed let the be displayed as they should be.
this really is the perfect companion for an owner of sai's i have 18inch sai's which are the smallest and they look great but even the larger sizes stay stable and look good!
