Start with the strong aluminum body, waterproof construction and shock-proof bulbs. Very, very powerful LED white light (96,000 MCD) with incredibly long battery life (3 AAA batteries included!) yet still fits inside your pocket because it's less than 4 1/2 inches long and the body is only 1 1/16" wide (head is 1 3/16 wide).. The red laser is so strong that you can hit a target over 450 yards away and it's still a focused dot.
Now for the good stuff---the light has a rear/cap button so the flashlight can be held with a strong full-hand grip. This allows greater control and flexibility. One push of the thumb button gives you the white light, the next push of the button gives you the laser and the third push gives you a flashing strobe light! The strobe is invaluable for situations where being seen is critical for either safety or rescue. There's still more---if you hold the button down for 4 seconds you get a repeating S.O.S signal!! Also notice that the face of the light has protruding semi-blunt edges that can do some serious damage to an attacker's body. Nobody wants to take a beating by this thing. Perfect for carrying in parking garages, sparsely populated buildings and other such potentially dangerous situations. Oh and don't forget the octagonal head and tail cap that prevent it from rolling off the table.

Strong enough for using AAA batteries. I'm a corrections officer and use flashlights quite a bit and this flashlight is brighter and less inexpensive than a Mini Mag. Also light weight.

I haven't been keeping up with flashlight technology but man it has come along way!
I bought two of these (by accident) and do not regret it. The laser pointer is a nice addition but the light output is what's really nice. I keep one mounted on a 12 gauge and another around the house.

For the record, I'm not a flashlight nut, but I am concerned with personal and home defense, and I bought this light for personal defense in an Every Day Carry (EDC) system.
As for the light, it's small - 4 1/2 inches long and the body is 1 1/16" wide (a little more at the head). It's not too heavy, and feels good in my large hands. The light is sufficiently bright for most tasks, if not particularly focused. The lazer is nice and quite powerful, though I don't see a need for it. The strobe is good for being seen at distance or stunning/blinding an attacker. I really like the SOS mode, though it would be a last resort.
The build quality is good, having an aluminium body. The defense bezel is reasonably sharp, if a bit shallow to do serious harm. I have no doubt that it would break the skin. The switch is softer than my other lights, but not so soft as to turn on accidentally.
My main complaint is that there are no lanyard holes, and I like to add lanyards to my lights so that I don't drop them in a defense situation.
Otherwise, a great light. Buy it, you won't regret it!

I had a blow out on the express way and this light helped me get seen by on coming traffic. The spare is mounted under the car and was rusted stuck so i had to wait for a spare. I wedged this in between the seat cushions with the rear hatch open and hazard lights. When help arrived he said the flashing light was visible half mile away & it looked like a police car. I had the light on for hour flashing and the batteries are still strong even with rechargeable. Now i'm back to buy more for other 2 cars.
