When I tried to spray this at a very large approaching dog, there was no spray. It merely ran down my hand. The item I received was so outdated that my hand was barely even warm from where the liquid poured out of the canister; and that was after it sat on my hand for the five minute walk home. There was no spray. I was glad that I didn't rely on this if it had been more of a crisis situation. I will not buy this product again. I will buy locally, where I can return the product if it does not work. I gave the seller a good review because the item was in the original packaging and was therefore as described. However, there was no indication of an expiration date. Obviously, I received an outdated item or a defective item, or both. I was extremely disatisified.

Spray is too weak to go any distanceMar 24, 2009

I tested it out outside, and found it able to barely sprays a foot away. Turns into a weak mist, instead of a stream as I expected. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for a product. With all that I saw written about it, I really expected it to work far better than this.

I can recommend this product because it is easy to use but safe also, so you cant spray yourself. That is simply not possible.
