great replacement remoteOct 28, 2007
By Josh I bought this for an old genie opener from the mid 90s. The good: It works. The programming instruction is clear and easy to follow. I prefer these kind of jumper settings, rather than the "clicker" where you pressed buttons in certain sequence to program. The unit is small and light, can put in pocket.
The bad: The mounting bracket is not that useful and I can live without it. I also notice the lag time and takes a while for me to get used to. Range is minimal, as expected in universal remote of this size. And is anyone going to make a multi-button portable universal remote? (not the clicker..)
Bottom line: For the price this is a good deal. It advertises that it supports a wide range of models. It is a great replacement or secondary remote.

Skylink 69P works with Craftsman Garage Opener but not with another Craftsman remote.Mar 16, 2011
By Go Vols! Have a Craftsman 1/2HP Garage Door Opener model 139.53970SRT manufactured 9/2000 with 'RED' learn button and no DIP switches. 3/2011 purchased the Skylink 69P remote to replace our 2nd Craftsman remote (model 139.53859) which was damaged beyond repair. Was able to successfully get the Craftsman opener programmed for the Skylink 69P, but was NOT able to successfully add the still working Craftsman remote (139.53879) at the same time. Was able to program the Craftsman opener to 'learn' the Craftsman remote, or the Skylink 69P, but not both at the same time. We need two functional remotes. Called and discussed issue with Skylink customer service. They agreed that this has been a problem with some Craftsman openers. Don't know why. I wish this issue had been included in the product description so it wouldn't have been a surprise. Skylink assured me that the Craftsman opener would successfully operate with 'two' Skylink remotes. So, I purchased a second Skylink 69P to replace the still functioning Craftsman remote. Was SUCCESSFUL in getting Craftsman opener to 'learn' and operate with both Skylink 69P remotes. Total cost of two Skylink 69P remotes is slightly less than cost for one Craftsman remote. All is well that ends well.

Works With Genie Door OpenerSep 21, 2011

Initially I misread the instructions and could not get it to work; specifically removing a pin equals 0 setting as opposed to - or +. I sent an email to the support desk, got a detailed response within an hour, did what they suggested and it works.

Terrible service by skylinkNov 07, 2009
By David P. Arpino

First I purchased the Skylink Transmitter G6MR since it was "100%" compatible with my Overhead Door Company opener. It IS NOT. I was told by skylink support to go by a 12 volt adapter for the receiver or get the model 69N that would work with my current Model 100A receiver. So, I returned the G6MR and ordered the 69N and guess what. It is not compatible with the U100! According to the first support tech it is, but the second one says they mad a mistake. So I have to make another return to amazon and buy a model 66C! Just not worth all the aggravation. David

junk -- works, then stops working, works randomlyApr 24, 2012
By CS I didn't have any trouble following directions and configuring this device for my garage door (one of them). So of course it worked right away, and I was happy. A little while later I wanted to demonstrate it for someone else, to confirm that it did indeed work. Oops, demo failed! Try again. So I put it away saying I need to check the config. Tried it again a day later (without any re-config), it worked. Then didn't. It seems to be sending a signal (the led is flashing), so I suspect that the electronics is faulty, causing it to send incorrect signals with some randomness.
So no excuses, no support calls, this is now classified as a junk product. It should just work, the way my regular door openers work, and the cars (homelink) work, every time without fail.
